I have recent been here for same day engraving. You should time when you go there (not first thing on a Saturday!!) The queues are ridiculous. I waited over 30 mins to be served. I was told it would be ready in about 1 hour. I came back in an hour and a half and he had forgotten about it according to his colleague. He said he will do it after the job he was working on at the moment and I should in about 30 mins. I came back in 1 hour and thankfully it was done. The engraving job itself was nice and as expected. Overall the service is good and I was happy with the end result.

I've been here twice. Once for a chain clip change and another for a battery/capacitor change on my eco drive watch. The chain clip was stated to be gold plated and charged my £30 on a white gold chain. They didnt handle it with care and the clasp rusted within 2 days. Minor. It still worked. Moving on, I gave my watch to have the capacitor changed/ repaired on friday and they said they will put it under a light for 3 days and let me know the evaluation by monday. They said it will be £30-45 roughly. I was fine with that. I didnt get any updates till the following friday in which I had called back. They were rude and dismissive over the phone stating that they needed to hear from me if they wanted to replace the capacitor. This was absolute nonsense but I complied kindly and said please let me know when I can collect my phone and I'm happy for the capacitor to be changed. They said they will message me back that evening. I called back at monday since I havent heard back and they stated that it will cost more money since leaving under the light didnt work. This was all knowledge that they have already informed me and kept trying to postpone their omission and negligence towards repairing my watch. I said it's not about the money but more about the lack of communication and he asked if I wanted to pay or collect the watch. I said I'd like to collect the watch as I've been misinformed several times and it's been almost 2 weeks. The gentleman hung up the phone on me. When I went to store to collect and complained on the poor customer service, since I believe local honest businesses need to know both when they do something right and conduct themselves wrong but he went defensive and stated my opinion is irrelevant and it wont affect their business. So this being my first ever time leaving a negative review online I felt like I absolutely had to. I wont deter anyone away from the repair but customer service is disgraceful.

This is a great place. It's run by really helpful, friendly chaps and their attitude gives you reassurance when you need some repairs or watch batteries. They will also make suggestions where you're having problems finding a specific strap or something, they can do slight modifications and things to solve issues and save you money. They're always busy because people like and trust them.
