All vehicles made since 1993 come with a microchip inside the car key (transponder), the transponder talks to your vehicle to ensure the car key is the correct key for your car. Great all round service, came out very late on a Saturday from Portsmouth (to worthing.) after we had no luck with local locksmiths. Friendly, fast and also jump started my car for me as the battery had died. Would highly recommend. - Aaron Green. Had an issue with the immobiliser chip inside my key fob. Called Darren, who was more than happy to come out the same day, even on a Sunday! He had the job done in about 15 minutes, and was extremely reasonable in price compared to the local VW dealership. All in all, quick, efficient, polite and definitely delivered a 5 star service. Would recommend!

I can’t thank Darren enough for rescuing me! Had RAC out (also fab but couldn’t help) and was ready to give up and be towed but Darren was able to come and help. Quick response, friendly and calm, clearly extremely experienced and very reasonable price. Saved me being towed when my steering lock failed on my Audi TT also saved me a hefty garage bill and long wait for parts. This company is the real deal in local assistance and I already have another job I will be asking him to do! I was on the road within the hour and very happily home!

Darren from Auto Locksmith came to my rescue yesterday. Been exchanging messages while I was waiting for a part to arrive for my TT. My car had failed the MOT due to numerous lights (including ABS) permanently illuminating my instrument cluster. Within the hour, my car was fixed. Where others had failed, Darren from Auto Locksmith in Fareham had the answer. So happy to see the lights on the dash OFF, and the MOT is booked for Monday. Thank you Darren!
