Mercedes C Class ESL W204/212 Steering Lock Failure:
Recently we have been having many enquires about failing ESL (Electronic steering lock) mechanisms on the Early W204 C Class (2007 '57' onwards) Symptoms of the problem are :
The steering lock on this range is unlike other models, and the car relies on a signal from it to allow the engine to be started. If the car's other computers do not
see the signal then it shuts down, making it impossible to start for safety reasons.

Raj Mann5 StarCalled Matt when I had a problem with my EIS ignition on my W221 S Class
Matt diagnosed what he thought the issue was on the phone and was bang on correct. I travelled up to the West Midlands to see him and he resolved the issue in less than an hour - something that I was being quoted 5 days+ via the post.

DaT dUdE5 StarMay 9th, 2023(ESL faulty)...called/texted Matt around 8am pertaining to my wife's c-class 220, went to work, great dialog via text, I explained everything to him the best way I could, fitted me in the same day around 4:40pm, but worked around me as I finished work late. Very approachable, knowledgeable, quick and efficient guy, was like a godsend, as I wasn't able to get car towed beforehand. Will definitely recommend and use this/ these guys again if need be. Mercedes mobile life saver a gem 👍.

Jackie Ware5 StarMatt sorted a new key for my Mercedes Sprinter today. He responded to all messages and emails to book the job. Turned up on time and sorted it for a good price. I couldn’t ask for more. Also gave me security advice and how to sort an airbag problem I’ll be going back. Great service.

Chris Andrews5 StarCalled Matt as I had an issue with my key fob, he guided me over the phone to check a few possible issues, first one being the fuse for the antenna, turns out that was the issue and it fixed the problem of the fob not locking and unlocking the car. Great service from a kind person who was able to assist me over the phone. Would highly recommend Matt`s services. I had already been directly to Mercedes in the morning and they had no idea what the issue was and just told me I have to buy a new key fob.
