phoebe cooke1 StarAVOID AT ALL COSTS! COMPLETE SCAM!
police sent these out after front door had to be forced open by police and ambulance for medical emergency! ( no mention we would be charged) the guy turned up 2 hours later and was here for less then 5 minutes! My apartment door has 2 locks and as one of the locks still worked fine he said ‘I don’t need to do anything’ and left! I then received an invoice for £265! I asked them for a breakdown of the costs, this was never supplied!Thursday 5th May 2022
Leah Price1 StarAWFUL. After a horrendous and traumatic experience the police called this company to secure the property with no mention of cost and with just myself and younger brother at home. On return from holiday, my parents received an invoice for £210 for a small plank of wood which took no longer than 10 minutes to install and was not even fitted well leaving a large gap at the bottom. This arrangement between the local police and this company seems like am opportunity for this company to scam people at their most vulnerable state and charge ridiculous prices.Wednesday 6th April 2022

ZT Huang1 StarJust as other reviewers said, it is an extortion. I am unhappy with the services provided. 1. The standard of work is bad. One of my investment property was broken in from the back door in Aug 2021. And the police called them. After they attended the matter, the very next day, the property was broken in again from the front door. The front door was not damaged and was simply unlocked. So when Rapid Secure attended the matter, they only secured the back door. They did not make sure all other entrances are secured, yet they stated on their invoice that they secured the property. When I called them to complaint, they said that they are asked to secure the back door and they do not need to check if other entrances are secured at their visit. 2. The charge is high. They invoiced me for £330, whereas the locksmith I called myself to secure the front door after the 2nd break in only costed me £80 and he installed two new locks on the front door. This is an extortion at best to people who are desperate just because Rapid Secure has a contract with the Police. I hope that enough people speak out and the company loses their contract with the police, so they do not have the opportunity to rip people off.Monday 17th January 2022
Genevieve Cottom1 StarWest Midlands Police called Rapid Secure out to my elderly parent’s property to secure a door. The police were at fault in requesting this, however Rapid Secure were quick to provide my parents with an extortionate invoice for a piece of plywood shoddily screwed to the door frame.
When we explained to Rapid Secure that they were not liable for the invoice and were consequently going through the lengthy process of raising a complaint with the police, Rapid Secure refused to co-operate.
They repeatedly sent my parents letters, emails and phone calls demanding payment. They even threatened them with court action which caused a great amount of stress and upset for them. My father is paraplegic and was greatly affected by this harassment.
Eventually we did receive a compensation pay-out from the police, which we immediately forwarded to Rapid Secure. We also sent a complaint and requested correspondence to discuss our experience. We received no further contact, not even confirmation that payment had been received.
We found Rapid Secure to be wholly unprofessional throughout the ordeal and would advise any potential clients to avoid any business with this corrupt company. We would also strongly encourage anyone who has unwanted dealings with this company to fully investigate the legality/framework behind their claims for payment.
Rapid Secure has a £7 million contract with MOPAC (through the National Framework Agreement for the Provision of Emergency Boarding Up and Locksmith Services SS3/17/2).
Despite the framework clearly detailing that my parents were not liable, Rapid Secure continued to unnecessarily harass them for payment in a way that can only be described as wholly opportunistic.Thursday 19th August 2021
