Heinz Guderian5 StarI only buy from Jopson’s second hand collection so this review is only based on my experience with those.
Without trying to blow smoke up their backsides they know what they’re talking about (especially the owner, Stephen). Friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to spend time explaining which watches he thinks are great value and/or just very well made.
If you’re looking for a watch not/rarely available in an authorised dealer (eg Rolex sports watches) then you’re unlikely to get it cheaper than at Jopson’s. I bought a Daytona about a year ago for £16k - check out the price of them now.
If the watch you’re after isn’t in they’ll soon find you one, let you try it on, and you can decline or buy. I’ve bought a couple from the shop now and haven’t regretted a single one - all were bought at market value or sometimes cheaper, none have dropped in value or had any mechanical problems. If you don’t believe me then just compare their 2nd hand watches against 2nd watch dealers.
Basically, unless I see a *ridiculously* cheap deal somewhere else, I’ll go to Jopson’s to buy my 2nd hand ‘luxury’ watch (Rolex, AP etc).
Cons: no champagne for customers (just kidding).
