We were looking for a ring for my wife for our ruby wedding. She saw two she liked on Goldsmiths website so we went to the Wigan Goldsmiths store to view them. Unfortunately as they were new lines the store had not yet received them. They offered to order both in and call us when they had received them. They measured my wife’s finger for correct sizes should we wish to purchase if she liked one. There was no sales pressure and no obligation to buy. When the rings arrived we received a call to ask if we would like to call in which we did. My wife loved one of the rings which we immediately decided to buy. While the sale was dealt with we were both offered a glass of chilled bubbly which was a nice touch and the also cleaned our wedding rings free of charge. Up to this point we had been dealt with by three different store colleagues who were all very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We also took advantage of their repair service to repair my wife’s engagement ring at the same time. As a footnote to this review we found out a week after picking up the ring and concluding the sale that we could have used a 20% discount code through work, that we hadn’t realised or mentioned to sales staff. I half heartedly rang the store to ask if there was anything we could do, and without hesitation they invited me to return for a refund of the 20% voucher which equated to. £350 discount. (Subject to conditions) They were under no obligation to honour this, and I didn’t expect them to, but they did as a goodwill gesture. To quote the manager “we just like to look after our customers any way we can”. We could have bought the rings online but we would never have got the expert personal service we received. I cannot recommend this store and it’s lovely staff highly enough it was a genuinely pleasant and special experience.

Wonderful store. Absolutely love my engagement ring and diamond necklace. We are definitely buying our wedding rings from here too. Great, friendly and helpful service and lovely staff. Can't praise them enough ❤️

Hi, I just wanted to share my experience I've had with Mat at Goldsmith's Wigan. I phoned the store and enquired about one of the watches that I had seen online. Mat answered all of my questions and even sent me some actual pictures of the watch, to give me an idea on size. A few days passed and I received a phone call from Mat, telling me that the watch I enquired about, had sold and was close to selling out within the stores. In fact, he mentioned that there was only 1 left, which was in Lincoln. Mat then made me aware that he can facilitate an order for me to ensure that I receive the watch and that it will be posted to my home, via the website. The communication was excellent, Mat updated me when the order was received, and even took the liberty to call the Lincoln branch to ensure that the watch was being sent. I then got another email, to ensure that I received the watch. Today, as described, DPD knocked on the door and there was my watch. From start to finish, the service I received was excellent and exceeded my expectations. I work for a large organisation and will be sure to recommend Mat and the team in Wigan for any future purchases, one thing for sure, is that I will be back. I feel in this day and age, we are all too quick to complain and moan, bit rarely take time to praise good service. Please pass my regards to Mat, I hope he gets some recognition for his truly amazing service.
