Came in to return a vacuum cleaner which I had bought 5 days prior to return. was told they wouldn't refund it by the manager as there was no valid reason for refund even though the return policy states you can return regardless. Whilst waiting in the help desk que could hear the manager making remarks about me and the person I was with which in my opinion as a retail worker myself is just not on. I did however get a refund and the guy on the desk was very helpful.

After visiting the Christchurch store and sought some advice on telephones, we then proceed to attempt to exchange a sodastream gas bottle, the sales representative had never done this before and was given some very basic on the job training by one of his senior colleagues, this took a good 10 minutes to complete this transaction. While waiting for this to be done, even though I am in my 50's it felt like I was in a nightclub with the loud music and with members of staff proceeding to dance to the music playing. Very very unprofessional, with a young staff crew with little knowledge of what they are selling. Customer service has gone out the window, feeling like a smile and a laugh is what it takes to get a sale. I won't be looking to change sodastream gas here anytime soon.

Bought a phone in store which they had to order in because they had none in stocks, I was told that it would ready to collect in 2 days, its now been a week later and it still isn't ready to be collected and they keep telling me that there is an issue on there side, in other words they guy I dealt with did not know what he was doing and didn't order my phone and gave me a day that it would ready by when they couldn't get it in by. This is the second very bad experience that I have had with currys Christchurch branch. The staff seem like they have had very very basic on the job training but still don't know what they are doing, lots of customers stood around wanting help but staff are to busy chatting to each other to notice and give collection dates that they can't stick to. I will never be using currys again for this experience because they don't know what they are doing and are useless.
