Been here twice and I still haven't been able to buy anything. Everything on display, phones in an appalling state, retail standards completely disregarded. I came in twice wanting to buy a phone for me and my brother, nobody ready to serve us for at least 20 min. I wonder how these people make money, if this is how they serve the customers, they don't deserve online purchasing either. Clearly understaffed or untrained. Computers either laptops or desktop full of dust, uncleaned and lots of empty spots. On a second occasion I wanted to buy a new coffee machine too, again nobody ready to help. Useless to say I went elsewhere, avoid if you can. If you are local, try Ashford or similar.

July 2023 - Chris, Customer Service Assistant is the most unfriendly, unhelpful assistant I have had the dis-pleasure of meeting. No efforts to apologise or relate to case I needed help with - 11 days still waiting on refund from store. Maisie - Sales Assistant was fantastic on first visit and in store purchase; friendly, helpful, cheerful and could not do more to make sure I was satisfied with service and purchase.

Went to Canterbury where a helpful salesman tried to tell me that a soundbar on display was rated at 50W. Close inspection revealed the output to be 12W rms per channel. 50W is the peak power of both channels added together. A piece of specmanship of which Alan sugar would have been very proud. He was helpful in other ways though. I have visited 4 shops in the last week. Canterbury, Ashford kent, folkestone and thanet. I was looking for a good quality soundbar. 2 helpful salesmen enthusiastically informed me that this was the flagship store for good quality devices and indeed the display was good. Not that easy to make the demo features work. I selected a bose TV speaker . No problem except after 45 minutes it emerged that their warehouse inventory was showing stock but they didn't have one. I explored other options but these too were not in stock. The flagship is clearly holed below the waterline! Maidstone apparently had several as did thanet. No they can't transfer between stores. I tried folkestone where I tried one unit that didn't impress and another . They only had 2 . One in a torn box. An LG unit. This looked OK but on opening I found batteries for the remote not retained in shrink wrap and the packing box badly damaged. Not great. Clearly a customer return which had received rough treatment. No thanks. Yesterday I looked online. Yes Ramsgate has a bose unit. I drove over there. A helpful young woman tried to get their demo unit working but couldn't. She fetched a rather dissipated and truculent young man. I had spent over 2 hours trying to buy a unit in 3 stores and my patience was wearing thin so I wasn't exactly in the best fame of mind when I asked him to demo the unit. It doesn't work he said. I've just moved the display!! Great. Have they got one I asked. No he said. But I've just looked online and on your website it says you have one i replied. I don't want a display unit or a damaged customer return. He went to the storeroom and was missing in action for ages. Eventually he returned with an unopened unit saying that it had just come in that day. The rubbish these people tell you. Typical gen z who is always right I thought. So in spite of the best efforts of currys to prevent a sale, I bought the unit, feeling they didn't deserve to sell anything. They hold very little stock. The gen z said I should have phoned the store. In my experience that is impossible and had I done so I would have been told that there was no stock. My day was brightened considerably by two enterprising lads who decided it would be a good idea to make mischief. During the course of my wait the sound of two people in the throes of sexual ecstasy permeated the room. Groaning with increasing frequency and intensity this was followed by the loud slapping noises of flesh against flesh. I was in tears. ROFL in fact. The lads had chosen well. A Bluetooth device of significant power was connected to their phone on which they were playing a mucky video, the soundtrack relayed throughout the store for everyone to hear.. The best part of this was the look on the manager's face as he wrenched the power lead from the speaker unit and ejected them both! Don't people have a sense of humour any more? I'll give them a couple of stars for this performance alone. Really the stock control at currys is appalling and some of their staff not great. Best go online to another supplier.

I am so cross and disappointed after trying to purchase a range cooker on line over a week ago and not getting an acceptable delivery date, I purchased in store with a guarantee of delivery date after confirming several times, only then to receive a call from the call centre to say they could not fulfill the date. I've subsequently cancelled. The person at the call centre could not careless thar Currys was losing my custom. Poor show Currys! You've let me down and your employee Natasha who was adamant I'd get a delivery on Wednesday.
